Clean Air Day Assembly

Amy from MP Smarter Travel visited the school on Thursday and delivered a talk about air pollution.
On Thursday 13th February, John Keble School held a Clean Air Day in school and the children wore black and grey clothing to raise donations for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that supports people living with lung conditions and those affected by air pollution.
Brent Council and MP Smarter Travel are in partnership to help educate children about air quality and teach them what they can do to limit their exposure to air pollution and minimise their air pollution impact.
Amy spoke to the children about how we can try to avoid busy traffic areas on our walk, cycle or scoot to school, as well as other ways in which we might help to improve air quality around schools.
Here is an animated map of the suggested walking routes around the school https://breathecleanbrent.org/.
Below are downloadable copies of the parent report and the school leaflet.
