School Vacancies

Reception Class Teacher

Due to the relocation of one of our current reception teachers, we have a vacancy for a reception class teacher from September 2025.

John Keble School is a two-form entry, happy, vibrant learning community in North West London with good transport links.

In June 2023, Ofsted judged the school to be good in every area and in July 2023, our Church of England inspection (SIAMS) judged us to be excellent in every area.

About the role

For us as a school team, we believe it is vital that our children are offered as many experiences as possible to ensure that they are well-equipped to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving society. We work restoratively, placing emphasis on forming sound and positive relationships built on mutual trust.

In our early years provision, we recognise the value in every individual and tailor our curriculum to meet the children's needs. We ensure that learning is fun and full of joy, enabling children to flourish. This is done through a balance of teacher-led activities and continuous provision.

Our expectations are consistently high; not just of ourselves as educators but also of the children and families who make up our community.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and inspirational in the classroom.

Working in our EYFS, you will motivate and inspire our students, and bring out the best in them.

You will have strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge and the desire and ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

You will be a committed team member, able to accept challenges, inspire and motivate others.

What we can offer you

At John Keble School, we aim to create a happy workplace culture through promoting a healthy work/life balance. We do that by providing a package of benefits, including:

  • Joint PPA
  • Support and coaching from a large leadership team
  • Supervision
  • A friendly and supportive team
  • Ongoing CPD, both in-house and external

Application process

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are able to work as part of the whole staff team, and who will support and uphold the Christian ethos and practices of the school.

An application form and further information can be downloaded from below.

Please call the school and arrange a tour. We would love to meet you and show you around.

Completed Application Forms should be returned to Mrs C Allard recruitment@jkeble.brent.sch.uk

Please note, we are unable to accept CVs as an application for any of our vacancies as this does not support our safer recruitment processes.

Applications close at midday on 31st March. Interviews will take place later that week.

John Keble School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, we expect all workers, volunteers and employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Record with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).

A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our school. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.

Looking to Train

We’re working with Teach West London (local ITT provider) to recruit, train and support new trainee teachers for the West London region. We look forward to welcoming new talented and committed trainee teachers to John Keble Primary School to begin their training and join our school community from September 2025.
